Developing the Best of Characters
The main aim of the Islamic Studies offered at our school is to promote students’ understanding of their religion. Students enrolled at the institution will be expected to attend our tarbiyyah classes. Al-Rushd Independent School considers students’ spirituality important, hence the presence of Pastoral care. It creates an environment where students feel care and a ‘family’ atmosphere.
Our school staff will always work towards making learners to feel comfortable and develop their moral vices. They will also support the students’ well-being and spirituality. Our tutors will also help the students overcome any challenges they may face as young people.
The Islamic ethos is aimed to promote character development among students. Religious activities at Al-Rushd Independent School help learners become young role models in society by demonstrating compassion and other moral ethics.
Al-Rushd Independent School operates under the principles of modesty, respect, friendship, and good character. Its ideals are strengthened by the strong Islamic foundation at our school.
Religion
At Al-Rushd Independent School, we rely on the Islamic Faith to form the basis of our school’s beliefs and ethics. However, students from different faiths are not left out and are allowed to practice their religion. Our main aim is not only to give the best education to the students but also to help them develop their faith in God and practice their freedom.
We encourage different beliefs and faiths to promote tolerance and genuineness as students interact with each other. It enables students to become multi-culturally diverse and respect other people’s cultures and beliefs.
PHYSICAL HEALTH
Apart from spiritual growth, physical wellness is an essential part of a student’s well-being. We have come up with a fitness curriculum twice a week to ensure that students are energised, focused, and ready to learn.
Students’ positive mental health is highly attributed to immense physical activity, explaining why it is valued at Al-Rushd Independent School. We ensure that the students learn about fitness, improve their coordination, build their strength, and enjoying their physical selves in different ways.
The physical exercises offered at our school are suitable for students of all ages, and parents are also allowed to get involved if they want to. There is no workout equipment required for the physical exercises, which take up to 30 minutes. The physical activities, like any other subject, is available online and conducted live.
