Sixth form is a crucial time in a student’s life – a time of significant development both academically and personally. You will certainly be expected to work hard here, but at the same time the atmosphere is informal, with teachers and students on respectful terms and appropriate uniforms!

The next level after students’ completion of the GCSE or IGCSEs is the A-Levels. It is both impressive and overwhelming to move to the next level since most students do not always know what to expect from this next step in their academic life.

The sixth form at Al-Rushd Independent College gains various advantages than in other traditional sixth form schools and colleges while undertaking their A-level education.

Al-Rushd Sixth Form College takes pride in its exclusively online classes, offering students the invaluable opportunity to learn from the comfort of their preferred environments, free from external distractions. The absence of physical classrooms not only reduces noise but also fosters a heightened focus, especially in the critical years of 12 and 13. This approach proves instrumental in eliminating time spent on behavioral issues, allowing students to maximize their learning potential. Our commitment to creating a distraction-free space underscores our dedication to providing a focused and efficient educational experience for every student.

SMALLER CLASSES

Our small class sizes are also advantageous since they allow interaction with teachers, who can focus on specific students experiencing challenges.

MORE FREE TIME

For instance, students with two or three A-Level online classes are expected to be more committed and attentive for 12 hours a week, giving them ample time to revise and focus on other activities. The flexibility of the curriculum we use is, therefore, another one of its advantages. Students can study with us from anywhere where there is an Internet connection. This gives students additional time to plan other self-study,activities and fit jobs within their timetable.
